Quick question that needs an opinion....

Hey,

By any chance is anyone else in here using the boaphile racks? If so maybe you could help me out... Do you guys / gals think it would be okay to use a bare bottomed tube as opposed to the paper towel? I ask this because I think it'd be a better way for the gex to thermoregulate... As far as the possiblities of the animals being burned, I dont really think its gonna be to likely since the boaphiles racks heat up from the back wall as opposed to the bottom. It also feels like it heats up the air temperature in the tubs as opposed to the surface area. So please post your thoughts on this one.... Thanks... Oh, yeah one more thing.... How many hatchlings would you think could be able to live in a 20 long? I've alwasy kept them in pairs or singley in shoe boxes / kritter keepers...

Thanks Again,
Richie

I would put one layer of paper towels down just to make cleaning easier (leos sometimes decide not to poop in the same spot). As far as the hatchling idea goes, you could fit quite a few hatchlings in a 20 gal long tank as long as they were around the same age and size and there were lots and lots of hides to go around. I would say maybe 10 hatchlings???

Yeah - it would make cleaning easier... Darn them and their pooping habits... Muchas Gracias... Keep us up to date on your babies that'll be popping out as well.
