I think I have a REAL pastel. Opinions wanted

craig k. May 10, 2005 08:35 AM

He seems to have all the features of a true pastel, lack of black pigment, very little speckling, and even some pink on his sides. It was not sold to me as a TRUE pastel though, what do you guys think??

quit wasteing your time with it and send that crap boa to me.

craig k. May 10, 2005 08:49 AM

I never said it was not wild caught trash, I just thought it looked like pastel. If I get tired of it eating me out of house and home I might just send it your way. Thanks for the reply. Craig

Keep us informed as he or she grows! Would love to see more of that!

craig k. May 10, 2005 09:09 AM

It is a he, the only he in the litter. He is growing like a weed, I have been trying to get pics of him, but I can not resist the urge to feed him, then I don't want to move him on a full belly. That pick was actually with a flash, he actually is quite a bit more pink then that. BTW the name has officially been changed to scoria boa.

Rainshadow May 10, 2005 09:12 AM

Is just...INCREDIBLY insane! completely off the hook! I'll get in line for some of those!

craig k. May 10, 2005 09:17 AM

Good to hear some positive with all the picking on me that is going on. LOL

chicagopsych May 10, 2005 09:14 AM

I'll give you $99.95 (shipping included of course) to take it off your hands.

craig k. May 10, 2005 09:16 AM

I would be losing even if you gave me $100 PLUS shipping. Oh well I guess I will have to deal with my mistake and just keep him. Craig

I tried to persuage them into letting one more go.... no luck.... darn!

Thanks for sharing. Id love to see more pics. Thats a male right? Clean belly?

topnotchboas May 10, 2005 09:31 AM

np

craig k. May 10, 2005 09:36 AM

His belly is pure white except for under the tail. It is really weird, it is like the whole morph stops right at the vent. He is a male, only male produced this year. I will try to get more pics, but I keep his belly pretty full and would not want to move him while it is full. Craig

But, the best example of a new morph! LOL!
That thing is SO beautiful! I love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That definitely is one of the top 5 boas I have ever seen. You can add me under Rainshadow on the waiting list.

craig k. May 10, 2005 09:39 AM

If it is co-dom (I still think it is) the wait should not be too long. Craig

neilm May 10, 2005 09:41 AM

Apparently it is yours...I heard that one got away...cool. I did not mean to challenge whether or not it was yours, I guess I just thought it could have just been a picture of 1.... It does already have a name though right!!!! Pink Patternless??? (I hate that name...but they do not belong to me

Yes I did pay alot, yes it is mine and yes it does have a name, sorry if you really thought I was wondering if it was a pastel. It is called a scoria boa, that name was picked out by the originator of the morph. It was originally called a pink patternless, but the owner decided to change it. Craig Kade

Looks like you scoriad big time!
