West Texas May 7th weekend

khowell May 10, 2005 09:54 AM

Wayne and I chose to spend our 11th wedding anniversary out west this past weekend. The temps were a little on the cool side, but we saw proof that when the conditions are just right and you are at the right place at the right time, that wayward grayband can be found! (Not found by us, but some other lucky herpers!) I am sure Wayne will post more about the graybands caught and other events of the weekend, maybe even some pictures this week.

We really just wanted to get away from Houston with the kids for the weekend, do the Acuna thing (Wayne hates to shop, but I did drag him in a few places), meet up with some friends, enjoy the desert and do a little herping of course.

I hope to go out at least one more time this year. I love the thrill of the chase and the comraderie with other herpers. See you all out west! Happy Herping!

Glad to see you guys had a great time Kim. Everytime we are able to get out there, snake hunting or not, it's a good time. Hope to see you and the little fellows soon.

The "Acuna thing"?
If you're talking 'bout Ed, I didn't know he ever brought the fambly.
So, did the weather cooperate? What did y'all find?
