I appreciate all responses to my original posting. Unfortunately, i guess i went about asking the wrong way. I want to know how to determine the sex. At what age? What do I look for? Also, if i wanted to breed mine with another, what age do they need to be?

Usually around 20-25 grams you can definitly tell what sex they are males have a BIG buldge at the beginning of their tail (its hard to miss) and females don't have a buldge you can start breeding them at 35 grams.

Do some males have smaller bulges than others, and the converse about females? I have a 24g crested, that I had separated from a group of other juvies, thinking it was going to be a male a couple of months ago. Well needless to say, it has been packing on the weight, but the bulge is still just noticeable from a lateral view. I will try and post pics later, but have any of you experienced this?

my other male has a slightly smaller bulge...so far the ones that I've hatched and are adult are all female...I have some juvies and close to being sexable ones now but it might still be a couple months...
there's another way shown in the Rhac book....I'd like to get a 8x loop to try it out...you need an 8x magnifier...and btwn the back legs magnify all the bumps in btwn and if they have pores (holes) in them, then it's male...I haven't gotten a chance to try this but I'd like to
