red bulb?

is it safe to use a red bulb at night with a baby leo?would it attract him out of his cage?or woulde a blue one work better?

Our little friends cannot see red light. The bulb has to be red and not painted red! i don't actually use lights on any of my enclosures as i believe it not to be the right way to heat a leopard gecko enclosure. But every1 to there own. Maybe someone with more experience in using lights would be more suited to answer. But if your gonna use a bulb either red or blue it would definately be red. red bulbs are ok ive used the esu redheat bulb it doesnt put off nearly as much light as the other brands. i personally use heat pads now but it works either way
