Found our first collared lizard,there are not meny in Oregon.Drove 400 miles to the desert in eastern Oregon,the weather was not good for desert reptiles,rain and 45-60. But on Saterday the sun did peek out some and we found this guy trying to get warm.

We live in Myrtle Creek but went to fields,OR to look for Collared lizards. Were are you in Oregon?

It a little crazy. I'm from Alaska, my dad met my mom up there when he was in the military. My dad's from Maine. My husband's father was in the service too, so my husband lived a little in a lot of places. Mostly Oregon and his whole family lives there, so that's where I say he is from. We've been married a little over a year now and moved from Las Vegas last summer to Ely (middle of nowhere), Nevada. There are C. bicinctores in this state. My husband just saw your post and wondered because he's done a lot of little kid herping in that state and hadn't seen a collared lizard.
