Anaconda Purchasing Question

mcghee May 11, 2005 12:48 PM

Greetings,
Though this question has most probably been posted on this forum, I am new to the forum and would like to ask it: I am looking to acquire a female green anaconda, and would like to know what references people on this forum have for breeders or importers? In other words, where would you recommend I look to find a good quality, young female green. Either C.B or W.C. will do.

Thanks,
Casey

Well right off the bat, I can tell you if you want the best conda you can get, stick to Captive Bred and make sure you do A LOT of research on them before you buy them, because they are a load of work to take care of! But as far as references to a good Green, I would recommend #1 would be Kelly Haller (which looks as if his clutch will be sometime in the near future, deffidently worth waiting for though) or NERD. NERD has a few C/B's right now I think, but that's as far as I know about them. I know people in here have Kelly Haller's condas, including Kelly, that can tell you right off that the condas he produces are great!

I have one of Kelly Haller's green anacondas. He is the tamest snake by far of my 41 boas/pythons. Genetics plays a big role in anaconda temperment. I am buying a second green from Kelly this year and would not even think of getting one else where. Bill

Do either of you have a weblink or contact info for Kelly Haller?

Thanks,

I would send Mr. Kelly Haller a message through the email system on this site. Bill.
