i have been looking to get an argus for like a few weeks now, im no where near ready to get it maybe afetr summer bc im not home every day during the summer,

things about each i like
argus
nice colors
not to big
stands on back legs

sav
not to big
heard to become tame very easy
sometime really nice colors

so what do you guys thing i like both i dont have a problem feed or housing either

I would recomend going with a true CB argus if those are the only two choices you are interested in. Savs a generally a very poor choice for a first monitor. I would also look into argus/flavi crosses. They are all true CB. I always have to throw in the obligatory "ackies are the best first monitor" I really do belive that, they are perfect in size and tempermant.

I have savs and an argus. I accually traded 2 savs for the argus and believe I got the best of the deal. The savs were nice and fun to work with. I still have some. My argus is always out doing something. It is an eating machine and part backhoe and way more entertaining than any of my monitors.
It is also CB so I don't have to worry about all the illness and vet bills associated with a WC critter.

with ackies i cant just have 1 bc i heard that they like 2 have company so i would get like 2/3 maybe a trio and i no my parents arnt gunna pay 600 for a monitor and 2/3 of his friends

so i am probly gunna go with a cb baby argus monitor from nerd

You will not do this with any argus I have seen. Mine will not tolerate being held, it will scratch and squirm until I put it down.

There is no guarantee this won't happen no matter what lizard you get.
An argus will be cramped in a 6'lby3'wby42"h.
To me it sounds like you need a beared dragon.

I think any monitor can benifit from company. You can get yellow ackies for more like 150-200 dollars. The choice is there for you, i would just be sure to go with CB

so yor argus monitors hate being handeled, at all, that stinks i no monitors are animals there not dog you dont play with them but if you can take them out that stinks

i have 3 argus monitors none of them are mean but they dont sit still when handled they scratch and wiggle my big male hes 4and a half feet will let you pick him up but only for a lil bit then he wants 2 start checking every thing out but my other 2 jsut wont let you handle them they will whip ther tails if i get 2 close and hiss so i dont hold them i dont really hold any of my monitors so it dosnt bother me they are fun and kool if you respect them
