They are pretty easy. You basically use the dial adjustment knob to increase or decrease the temp. You usually have to wait a while after each adjustment for the temperature to settle. Make sure you have the incubator at the correct temp a few days before you expect the eggs so you can fiddle with the temp and get it stabilized. Lastly, if you expect to raise more than one clutch over the long term, I would suggest getting a helix thermostat. They cost about $125, but they are well worth it, as eventually the hovabator thermostat may fail. This happened on one of my hovabators, and without the helix, it would have fried my eggs.

I use the room temperatures in my apartment to incubate my chameleon eggs, and they seem to work just fine. Where are at, and what are the temps like in your house? I put them up in a dark hall closet and the temp changes from about 20-25 degrees Celcius.

Please tell me more about raising your own silkworms? I love to get them from time to time, cuz my chameleons love them, but it would be nice not to have to buy them all the time.
