People placing a list of all their pets at the end of a post

carlsyoung May 11, 2005 10:35 PM

This is a stupid question and has nothing directly to do with chameleons. How come at the end of most postings people list all the pets they own with numbers in front of them. Sometimes the numbers are decimals.
Examples:

1.0 chameleon
0.1 bearded dragon
etc.
etc.

I can understand 1,2,3 etc for how many of each animal you have, but what do the decimals mean?

I think it's: # of males.# of females.# of unknown

indeed, it`s male-female-unknown
sometimes people also write 1-1-7-6
the last two numbers indicate the sex of the young , i think.

I figured it had to do with the sex of the critters. I'm glad I finally have it all straightened out.
