he doesn't look too bad does he? Maybe it's working. I just expect that he'd be more active.

I'd say he looks a bit better. He at least has enough strength to hold himself up high. I don't like to force feed unless I think it is the last option...your chuck would fit that option to me. I don't think it would start eating and has lost so much fat reserve in the tail already.

I agree with Johneee, don't stop feeding until hes really strong and you can see him eating well himself.

Also along with what your giving him, the baby foods, throw in some dandeline greens, and flowers, and veggies, and mush em in a blender, make some foods from what he normally would eat too!

I wish you well, It CAN be done with much time, and many little feedings, all through-out the day.

I have done it with emachiated, almost dead wc collareds.
So hang in there and keep trying to help your little buddy.

Hes a cutie, its a shame.

He does look a bit better. Hopefully, with the force feeding you can turn him around.

Good luck!

I may have missed in past messages what you've tried to feed BTW, but have you tried honeysuckle flowers? I had a little guy, Sim, who looked even worse than BTW. I bought Sim with another juvie; both turned out to be boys; Sim stopped eating because the other juvie was way more dominant; he became so emaciated I could see each and every tail bone. I FINALLY figured out what was going on and gave Sim his own cage. He still didn't eat until I got him some honeysuckle flowers. He couldn't get enough of those and fattened up quickly. By the time the honeysuckles were deflowered for the season, he was willing to eat regular stuff. I still have him and we're good friends. He's a real character. Wish you could try honeysuckle, if you have access to them and if you haven't already offered those to BTW. He DOES look much better now. You done good!
