Creative Water Bowl Ideas

Devilish1182 Jul 11, 2003 09:27 PM

I live right outside the city limits in a small town that bans owning snakes in the limits. All of the pet stores around here offer little or no reptile supplies so it is pretty difficult to find the right kind of stuff I need. All of the water bowls they had were way too small for my two red tails so instead I decided to get a little creative and bought the largest available dog water bowl they had. Well anyways to my question, is it ok to put a stainless steel water bowl in the snake cage? I don't want to sound stupid but will the light make the bowl too hot for the snakes to lay in?
Thanks for any help
Katy

I use the heavy plastic ones to cut down on the tipping over factor... Litterboxes usually work as well. But steel would work ok! They're all much easier to keep clean than the stupid shallow dishes that you usually find labeled for reptile use.
