cage colours

i am about to paint my new cage i built i was just wondering whether coulour choice mattered a whole lot or are their certain colour to stay away from. And is the normal galvanized mesh alright to use or are there any better meshes to use.??

stay away from reds, oranges, or anything too bright... I've seen many use various colors of wood stain (including the darker red/brown colors), so I suppose that is more of a natural plant-ish color.
Try a PVC-coated mesh, as the uncoated can lacerate their feet if they walk on it.
