Panacur...

hefte May 12, 2005 03:34 PM

I have a wild caught Mangrove that I need to de-worm. I have Panacur, know how much to give but instead of trying to squirt it in her mouth, I was thinking that I would kill a mouse, and pack it full of panacur. She only eats fresh killed at night when nobody is around. This should work as the mouse will be dead and the Panacur won't break down right? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance, Eric

It may be more practical to put the Panacur(Fenbendazole) directly into the snake's mouth or externally on the rat. If the rat has the Panacur inside of it, it may not be quite as effective due to the snake has to break down the food to get to the Panacur. Also, unless you know what type of parasitic worm that you are treating, Panacur may in some cases not be effective.
