Need treat suggestions...

ptdnsr May 12, 2005 05:52 PM

Our juvie green ig has a skin infection. It's been hard lately to clean her off and apply the cream that we got from the vets. It seems to be getting better but I'm not positive. Anywho...Iggy has just gotten to the point where she lets me hold her - she used to hate me (trying to bite, clawing and tail whipping whenever I went near the cage). I believe it's because she's feeling better. However my boyfriend isn't home during the week to help me with her treatments. She scratched me some but not as badly as I would have thought. Is there something that I can give her as a treat after I hold her if she hasn't tried to scratch me or something? I know iguanas are smart and she'll figure it out soon enough. I hate having to put her through this because it has to hurt but there's no other way. If anyone has any suggestions feel free to let me know. She's not that big either - only about 8" of body.
