Froglets and Pacman

cold_blooded Jul 11, 2003 09:55 PM

Hi...I was wondering, if it would be ok to feed my young (4 inch) pacman f/t smelts. They are half the length of him, and if I cut off the tails and heads, they are quite soft.

Also, I have three wood frog or leopard frog froglets, they are already hopping around on land. What can i feed them? I have frozen tubiflex worms, guinea pig pellets, and algae pellets. I also have crickets the size of my pinkie nail, but the frogs wont eat em . What should I do? Should I just offer the dead worms? I cant let them go....i found them in the gutter./...

What you can do is buy small crickets at your local petshop. Your frogs are only going to eat things that move - so therefore, live food is best. And dead or alive tubifex worms, they will not eat. Good luck with the frogs

no i wouldn't feed wild caught things to my frogs.

make sure the froglet's tails are completely gone or else they wont start eating.
try live bloodworms
