A word of caution on breeding green iggys. Im not trying to say you shouldn't try to breed your reptiles, or be condescending in any way, but just a couple things to think about...
Green iguana's are pretty demanding animals to keep and it is extremely hard to find good homes for them for their entire life. Babies are pretty easy to place as they are cute, but as they get larger and tempermental people tend to not want them anymore and either stop caring for them, "throw" them away or try to give them to other people. Reptile rescues are overrun with iguana's to the point where they have to send many of them away. Many iguana's end up living horrible lives or die from neglect in the ends of owners who cannot find new homes for them. "wild" iguana populations are also overrun with captive iguana's that were released into the wild. There are so many unwanted iguana's in this world that it is not necessarily a good idea to add more.
If you do decide to breed your iguana's first make sure you have good homes for all the babies. Make sure the future homes all understand the long term care of an iguana. But seriously, i would reconsider breeding and just enjoy your pets as the wonderful creatures they are!!!

I would not reccomend breeding your iguanas, iguanas are like the cats and dogs of the reptile industry. As for the plants mine like ficus, but you mite not want to put an expensive plant in there because they will make short work of any plant you put in there.
Derek
to answer your question, an iguana would most likely quickly devour any plant you put in. If I were to chose a plant it would be hibiscus, but it will get eaten. As suggested before, please reconsider breeding these animals. Most people cannot properly care for them, and they buy them because the babies are so cute and cheap. Shelters are filling up with them because people get bored w/them or the animals get too big. Can I ask why you are planning on breeding? Just like common dogs can cats they should not be breed, but what makes it worse is that they are exotic animals and are much harder to place. Are you willing to take the animal back if the owner does not want it?
The last thing anyone needs is people breeding green iguanas. I get a couple of calls each month from people who want to donate one and the zoos get more calls. The carnival problem is adding to the unawnted green iguana overpopualtion.
Cindy
Why are you breeding iguanas?
