I just bought 3 baby yellow belly sliders and the older one I had bought last year developed white on it's shell overnight.
Any suggestions as to what medicine to give it?

I'd just wait and see if it spreads or if it gets worse. Otherwise, my only assumption is that it's some kind of shell rot, at worst. At the least it may just be a phase, or something due to your water quality.
I'd first of all, check your water quality by making sure it's kept clean, and this with a filter. Seeing you might be worried, you can apply a betadine solution to the turtles shell. This you do by taking it out and leaving it dry for a few hours or more after having applied the solution. A lot of turtle hobbyists have done this for shell rot. You then scrubb the area very lightly-after a few hours or so-with a soft brush tooth brush, nothing brittle.
Check with others here. I'm not the expert. Your turtle could just be going through shedding, may've caught a little fungus, or could be going through seasonal discoloration. The scutes may just be coming off. This is normal.
See how it goes. It shouldn't be a great concern though, unless it truly is shell rot or soft shell. You'll then have to make sure it gets a lot of sun and stays dry.
