Sorry to burst your bubble, but it would be impossible to breed a Het Red Axanthic to a Normal and get Red Axanthics. It is like breeding a Pastel to a Normal and getting a Super Pastel.

But I got kind of confused with the co-dom part, so I just decided to let an expert put it out there.

So the Red Axanthic isn't co-dom?

That's what I thought,

It is exactly like I Pastel I think. The Het's are visible het's and the Homozygous form is the Super. The trait is displayed at a lesser degree in the het pastel just like a Pastel. The look is intensified in the Super.

So his 5 eggs should yield 50% Het Reds. Just like a Pastel to a normal would.

Here's a baby pic of my het red which was produced from a Super (Red Axanthic) to a normal.

By the way... I got a clutch of 9 eggs from him cooking now with two more on the way! Very eager to see what hatches!

I misread the "The Eggs" post. I thought it said, I hope to hatch a Red Axanthic.......

My bad. I get that is what I get for not sleeping.....
