Check out my breeding cage..over 100 BRB's born there to date

This where I do all my Rainbow Breeding. I use sterilite sweater for hide boxes (normally one in each section) and a large glass water bowl on top, helps with humidity. Notice the piping on the side? This can be closed or opened to allow the BRB's to travel at will from cage to cage. There is also a similar passthrough between the top and bottom sections.

I've never seen a set up quite like that before - very intricate and well placed.

It helps when you can build your own cages. I have a second one similar to the first that I am completing now.

That's a beautiful looking setup, nice job. I'm guessing you've never had a problem with the exposed lights (incadescent?)causing burns. I had a incident where a new born climbed through the screen separating the heat lamps from the main enclosure and got burned. Do you use any other heat source?
Again, super nice setup.
Thanks for sharing,
Paul

Paul, have never had a problem with the incandescents. They are way to high for the babies to reach (even as good a climbers as they are). There are no other heat sources, I am finishing a second setup similar to the one in the pics, made some changes though. Broke it into four seperate stackable sections with an inch of airspace between. Will but heat tape under each floor and run fluorescents instead of incandescents. Also lined the entire interior of each cage with formica, should be easier to clean.
