garvin90 May 12, 2005 10:53 PM

Can any1 recommend any good mastyx breeders who you can get intouch with?

Most places it seems unless they are bigger do not seem to email back quickly... if at all. Im trying to find mali morphs.

The 3 that most seem to mention and have a great reputation/care for their reptiles:

Doug Dix.......www.deerfernfarms.com
Audrey Vanderlinden.......www.uromastyxspecialties.com
Lindsay Pike.......www.urotopia.com

I've purchase from all three and have been very impressed with the Uros and their willingness to help out. I've seen Doug at several reptile show in the NW and he's been very helpful!

Good luck!

^^totally agree on the above folks, but I think Audrey breeds primarily Ornates and Moroccans. Might be wrong, but I don't think she's selling Malis yet (or at least, right now).

Im really looking for a companion lizard, thats why I mentioned malis as a start. Ive been working with reptiles for a bit now and so i was looking for something a lil different. How are ornates to start out with as far as mastyx go, or should i start with a mali?

Mali's are considered easiest due to the price and hardiness. Ornates are easy as well but come with a price, so for a beginner with Uro's that is why the mali's are always recommended.
