Hi All,
My baby BT(16" total length) only ate a total of 20 cricket (12 and 8 each time) for the past 6 days!!!!!!! He has been hiding since. Is this normal? The ambient cage temp is 80 deg constant. Thanks.

20 total?My Blackthroat at that size would eat 30 a day.You may want to switch to mice at that size.What are the overall temps?I keep mine 100-110 hot side,78-80 coolside with basking area's of 130-150 degrees.How long have you had it?It may be stressed.

The ambient cage temp is set at 80 and basking spot set at 110. I think it is still getting use to the new cage(= stressed?). Got him 2 weeks ago.
I heard that giving meat to these young ones make the grow too fast and therefore not enough time to be "tame" down. What do you guys think about feed them mice at this stage? Thanks.
