a picture of my homemade incubator

I built this thing back in 2001 roughtly based on specs given at John Hollister's website- use your imagination, please. It is 24"x24"x48",insulated, and can hold 2-6 shelves depending on needs. I have yet to really run out of space. there is a 3" loop of heat tape running through it controlled by a proportional thermostat, and I monitor it with a thermometer I got from Radio Shack. I don't remember how much it cost to put together, but it wasn't much. Certainly has paid for itself a while ago. It is now 2005 and it still works.
Anyone that has some degree of hand eye coordination greater than or equal to mine, some degree of persistence and imagination can build one if it is what you need.

What did you use for insulation... can we see other angles of the incubator?... Did you use plex glass or glass on any part of it? Is that foil on the inside (if so why... if not what is it?)lastly what did you use to keep the wood from rotting from the exposure to water?

Thanx
