? About buying an Albino Boa/Daytona Show

JDouglas Jul 11, 2003 10:56 PM

I am going to buy an albino boa. For those that went last year, I am wondering if there will be a lot of albinos to choose from at the show next month in Daytona? Should I just purchase one now off the internet or should I wait until Daytona. Will the prices be lower at Daytona? Will the albinos there be top quality because I am seeing a lot of albinos selling fast? I want the best of the best not leftovers...

any advice and insight is appreciated!!

Thanks,
Jaremy Douglas

As far as prices I think thats a crap shoot pre show. But as far as quality i would think you could find good ones there last year alot of people were raving about their buys from the show and huge shows like that are nice because youll find alot of really good breeders who come out for them that you dont find often on the net or elsewhere. Id look for brian sharpe or pete kahl theyll both be there and are sure to have some nice ones there. but hey if you find a quality one of the net from someone you can trust prior I wouldnt pass that up either! hope this helps Jason

Last year in Daytona I bought 3 albinos from 3 different breeders. There were not as many there as I had expected. There was not that great of a price break either. The best deal I got was from Peter Kahl,I paid $950 for that one and $1000 each for the other ones.Kahls babies were very well started with all feeding records, they were HUGE babies! Luckily they are all still doing great.I would not wait for Daytona if you find a good deal though.Hope that helps.
