Any Ideas for enclosure decoration??

MissMiniZoo May 13, 2005 07:10 PM

My husband just built Irwin a new enclosure. It is 7 ft. tall, 5 ft. wide, and 4 ft. deep. Here is a picture of it so far...

Does anyone have any ideas for decorating his new home?
Can you post pictures of your enclosures and their decor?

Thanks!!

To be honest with you, I've had my five foot Iguana in many different cages over the years and have started out with elaborate decorations and have settled on the most durable and functional enclosures possible. I have one suggestion in regards to the UV light you have, these types of lights are only effective at 12" max and even at that distance have a very poor UV rating, the lizard really needs to be within 6" or less. I don't have any elaborate furnishings or lights in my Iguana's enclosure what I prefer and think is the best is exposure to unfiltered sunlight and the diversity to outdoors, so a I try to get my Iguana outside as many times as I can in a month. I applaud your interst and desire to provide a proper environment.
