UroJade May 13, 2005 08:01 PM

I've had the two dune geckos since tuesday and one has been an eating machine since the first day while the other one just sits there sometimes she watches the cricket walk by or wille jump away if it touches her but i have yet to see her eat

any tips to encourage her to eat? and how many days of her not eating can go by before i should be worried?

i'm prob not much help but when i had mine i found they were startled and seemed afraid of even very small crix. they were kind of funny watching them as they looked like they were decideing if they should go after one or not. i used small mealies with good success too. maybe they wont temp the little gals as much.

yeah my male is afraid of the crickets and usually wont take them unless i hand feed him, im going to try worms for the one thats not eating but the other one has no fear she'll chase them down or wait for them to walk into her mouth. im going to order a few silkworms to see if my aniamsl like them so maybe shell like those

i do remember them loving wax worms, not a good diet but maybe enough to entice her to eat. good luck
