I've noticed that most pics of tentacled snakes on the web show them to be a grey blackish mottled snake where as mine are mainly orange with black stripes, is it a locality thing?

Good question. My Reptile Atlas has a pic of that orange one with the stripes. Mine were the brown/black ones. I guess doing some looking on the net may reveal some pics of some snakes from various asian countries? I would think that since they are different colored and striped, that there is indeed a locality thing there.
