Ghost Market?

glkherp May 14, 2005 11:02 AM

What do people think the market price is going to be this year for Ghosts and 100% het ghosts? From what I'm seeing it looks like they are going up in price again.

Thanks,
George Knaack

George,

I have not paid attention in great detail, but I was in the market for a ghost a little while ago. Since then, it seems like prices are dropping. However, ghosts are highly gradable so I think the goods ones will command higher prices.

As someone looking to pick up a female for my het male this summer, I hope to see some low prices!

However, I think with some of the crosses coming out they may become one of those staples you have to have in your collection. If the demand is there, it may drive the prices up for a few years.

But you never really know in this industry!

Look to be about the same as last year. Some people are selling higher some lower, but definitely not typical price drop going on with other morphs.

I feel that it is going up due to the "mixability" it has. I purchased a 1.0 RDR Hypo for $1500.00, it is from his "Anery" line, and I am not complaining on his price, it just shows a little that the prices are increasing. I came across a OLD BHB pricelist looking for something online and it had males at $750.00! Females were about $1200.00 it didn't have a date but the prices would reflect the date.

that ghosts were going for 2k last year for males. I'm seeing them for $1,500 and less this year. Again, like the pastel, which had low prices back in 2001, ghosts can be graded. Better ones will command higher prices.

That is the time frame. I use to do their web site and that was the prices from 2001.

My first clutch of 100% hets is hatching out in a week and I'm trying to see what I should sell them for. I'm looking for input from people that are going to be producing them to see what they are going to sell theirs for. I have already talked to a few people and have an idea but just wanted to see if I could get a little more feedback.

Thanks,
George
