ok i have 2 problems.
first
I am curently incubating my fist clutch in an icubator i puchased from LLL reptile in SAn diego CA. I have been keeping them in the incubator since 4/30.
anyway i think i may have let them sit in a mix of perlite which had to much water in it for too long. They seem to look like they are getting a weak outter shell or just splotchs on the outer core. i added more perlite to dry it out and i took a towel and dabed it around to dry it off. is it to late for these eggs? also i have been keeping them at about 75-80 degress
My second question has to do with my breeding male. He seems to be much thinner then the other 4 females he is caged with. he wasnt when i first got him though
he is about 7months old and i noticed that it seems his tail was caught in the closing of the cage door or he was bitten by a female. he still has the tail but the end is sort of pinched at the end. i feed him crickets regularly as well as the otehrs and baby food when ever there arent crickets present.
how can i fatten him up and is he breeding with these females?
also the cage for the 5 of them is about 48inch by 50inch
its a huge heavily vegitated wooden encloser.
thanks
marco
