I know this is a stupid question, but im just looking for a good way to kill a mouse or rat... i have a friend that does SOMETHING with co2 containers and compression,, but i dont have one of those, and im just wondering if there is something that i can gas the mouse or rat with to make it go into a deep sleep or something, so that it wont fight back against the snakes, it will just sit there sleeping, lol. any suggestions will help, im game to try new things.

Some may say that this is inhumane, but I always knock my mice out by thumping them in the head, it's quick, easy, and it works great. The rodent is momentarily paralyzed while your herp can attack.

You can easily and efficiently kill mice and rats by laying them on a flat surface, holding their tail, and pinning their neck down with a ruler or some such. Then push forward with the ruler while pulling back on the tail, severing the spine at the neck. They die instantly. I have found that whacking a rodent on the head can sometimes lead to blood from the nose getting sprayed around as the rodent kicks. With this method, the rodent rarely even kicks.

CO2 puts them into a little sleep.......like forever.........

CO2 kills just like CO (monoxide)........

I just pling them or whack them against something....melamine racks work well......

usually though I actually just put them in full live or I just hnd them to the snake...if they dodn't eat from my hand or from a bucket while I am holding them.....at times they don't get fed....(at times I do now they'll eat and I throw dead into cage).......
