Shedding ?

msubigdawg Jul 12, 2003 12:19 AM

I have a Brazilian Rainbow and his eyes were cloudy about 4 days ago. Then they cleared up and he spends a lot of time in his humidity box. I was wondering if he was goin to shed soon. I havnt handled him since I saw he had cloudy eyes and I would really like any information anyone could give me.

He should shed any day now. Just make sure the humidity is slightly elevated until then to ensure a good, clean shed. The eyes will go clear after being 'blue' and shedding can occur anytime thereafter, which could be anywhere from a few days to a week or so. I still get impatient waiting for my kids to shed...wanting to see those nice crisp patterns and shining iridescence right afterwards!!!
