Tubs that don't come in contact with the heat tape

kylescott May 15, 2005 12:47 AM

I want to make a rack using belly heat, but I know you have to have some space from the tub to the heat tape. I am going to make a rack for adult ball pythons, but I don't want to go through all the effort of making the indentions in the wood. I just want to buy a tubs (either sterilite, Iris or rubbermaid) that have rounded feet on the bottom of the tub that prevent them from actually contacting the heat tape.

First off, the Iris CB70 box is probably the best for ball pythons, and it doesn't come with feet. Easy solution: Buy those plastic stick-on glides sold at Home Depot, etc. Even better than the feet molded in on many tubs.

You can get CB70s from The Container Store (online) or at reptiletubs.com (I think...)

I thought the CB-70 had them, but I wasnt sure. I hadn't even thought about the plastic stick-on glides. Thanks for your help.

You can also use the 41qt sterilites, I am not sure on the feet as mine have not arrived yet. I do know they are alot cheaper then the CB-70's and you can pick them up at Target...
