this is my newest snake, again saved from my dog. he hasn't eaten yet but i have only had him for 5 days. i'm not quite sure what kind he is either, any ideas?

Canada, BC on Vancouver Island. this is the only one of this type i've seen here. the only other similar things had white side-stripes rather than greenish. he is now feeding well and is quite friendly and likes being handled

does he have any red on his sides? could be a Red-Sided Garter.

no, there is no red. just black between the top and side stripes.
