What LIVE plants would go well in an anole terrarium that is 20 glns tall? Thanks.

Most houseplants will work. Just make sure that they are suitable to low or moderate light conditions and won't outgrow the height of the enclosure too rapidly (pruning is an option). You can also use wild, native plants. Wild violets work quite well as do wild strawberries if you want a vine. Just avoid plants with a milky or latex-like sap since they are usually toxic.
I have used Diffenbachia compacta, Scheffelarias, Pothos (must be pruned to keep it in bounds), ornamental leaf Geraniums, varigated Ficus, etc. The list is quite extensive. Just make sure you rinse them thoroughly (including rinsing the dirt and Perlite from around the roots) before replanting.

Do you think that a HOSTOS plant would work? I will keep those others in mind, too.

Hosta should work. I'm partial to plants with variegated foliage. They seem to add a bit more color and shading to the enclosure. Don't forget to provide a number of branches (at least the diameter of the Anole) for basking.

thanks for the advice. I am sure that my anole would love it. I am going to get another anole since my 6 1/2 -7 yrs. old one died about 4 months ago. I loved him very much. I really just want something more "spiffy" and "natural" looking even though some silk plants are but they are hard to find here. Thanks again!
