I've seen your reverse stripe quite a looker he is!Yours looks VERY similiar to ours! =) John Michaels aquired this pair as babies in Daytona a few years back. We're not going to try to breed until this next coming season......I can't wait it's gonna be sooo exciting!!! Thanks for your compliments!

yeah I did not get a whole lot of info when I bought mine. Mine came from a litter that was all reverse stripes (i guess) and I have seen some of the sibling. Mine has been breeding the last few months so hopefully I get some babies. Good luck with yours.

bloodline ? Having owned one in the past, I would bet money those things are crosses... look at the head shape, body shape, scalation. Heck, look at the body color, tail color...

honestly has it crossed your mind ?

They were not sold to me as surinames.......but as genetic reverse stripes. Therefore that's why I call them "genetic reverse stripe" if you see my post. Though I know for a fact that they are at least a good percentage BCC. If anyone else has any information on this line....please post what you know.

Sorry if I upset anyone.

nobody knows the details... but most people I know who are hardcore BCC nuts think they are crosses. A friend of mine produced a litter of 50 last year from that bloodline. He bred a 10' female from that line to a sipperly male, he was so sure after looking at the babies that there was alot of BCI blood in there that he wholesaled the entire litter off to Ben as BCC X BCI crosses.... there's no doubt in my mind that those things are crosses.

Since the initial post I recieved a few emails from others who agree 100%

Hey look ...............I NEVER posted these as SURINAMES!!!! I posted these as genetic reverse stripes! Not ONCE did I say surinames. My god the first time I post here I get my *** chewed and spit OUT! My husband posts here on/off and said this is a great place to go! Ummm...........I happen to really LOVE the looks of these "things"........I happen to call them my snakes. I can't wait to breed the two together and SPREAD THE LOVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Get over it!

I think the confusion was because your post was in the middle of a rash of Suri boa threads and everyone was getting all caught up in the 'post your suris', and the title of your thread "our contribution to the cause" made me think you were also posting suri pics.
I think it was just a missunderstanding?
anyways... neat looking reverse stripe boa, nice and big!!

I had this talk with Sean mills about a year ago. I agree that they probably have BCI blood in them. How much? I dont know Probably allot and I guess thats why there is a mystery about the origin. Mine has been breeding another BCC for the last few months so we will see how they turn out, the female he is with has no peaks and not much of a tail so if there is allot of BCI blood it really should show. The first day when I got this boa I had that thought in the back of my head that somthing wasnt all BCC about him. Later
