I found this little guy yesterday at Lake McConaughy, Ogallala, Nebraska.

I beleive its a prairie king ???

Almost looks moe like a desert but I didnt think they came up this far north (central nebraska)??

Any help with an ID?

Looks like a baby racer to me. I could be wrong though. Try feeding it crickets and that will rule out the racer.....yes baby racers eat crickets. Good luck.

It is a juvie Eastern Yellow Belly Racer.
