F/T Pinkie problems, HELP Quickly

dragonbirds May 15, 2005 11:20 PM

I have posted before and talked about my hognose regurgitating. I have tried everything and I dont know what else to do. My next step is to put everyone on antibiotics. My male that have never regurg. has now done it for the first time.

I have done fecals and nothing has shown up.
I have also dewormed them and that still has not helped.
This has started somewhat recently.

My major concern now is that I have noticed white spots on the pinkies, Before and after defrosting. Does anyone have a clue as to what it could be? Was I sold pinkies with freezer burn?

Any other advise or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Shannon

The only problem I have had with liveis, what if they don't want to eat right then? What do I do with them at that point?

I used to use live when I have Beardeds and what the snakes didn't eat, they would.

What are your set-ups like?

Thanks,
Shannon

most of my pinks have freezer burn (the white spots you were speaking of) and it has not caused any of my snakes to have any problems. The only time I have ever had regurge problems was with a scrub python and 2 corns that got to cold when my quarentine (sorry if spelled wrong) room got to cold. They stopped as soon as I heated the room up some.

What temps do you keep your room and what temps are in your set-ups?
Can you decribe your set-up so I can see how it differs from mine.

Thanks,
Shannon

hey bud
1. the live pinkie if you done with it and the snake dont eat it ,it's fine cause it can stay alive for 3-4 days and even then if the snake dont eat it you always can wack it and put it in the freezer, so no lost there .

2. my set up is i give them a hide box, each snake by it self, fresh water, fresh crush aspen, and the temps is 83 day time and abour 78 nights.
hope that helps you out.
