Is there a normal crescent pattern?
It seems to be eyes alternating with the back spots?
Do some snakes have very regular "eyes" all the way down?

I would say that pic you posted is a fairly frequent type pattern. The size and color of the moons differ from lineage to lineage. Selective breeding allows more or less pronounced crescents and also contributes to their overall appearance. Having eyes is not uncommon and in fact of all the pics I see they occur frequently. Breeders have a certain look they believe is attractive and try to enhance those characteristics and diminish those they feel are less suitable. You'll see some folks try for (and try to get more $) for "virtually no crescents" and those who try for the exact opposite of huge perfectly shaped rings (which is what I like, and therefore would pay more for) that are called the bull's eyes. Each type, IMO, are equally nice.....it just depends on what each individual finds appealing.
Linda, I saw that ad in the Other Boa's classifieds and had to shake my head at the price. Your right, to each thier own, but I just can't imagine anyone liking the look better than well defined, bright, uniform crescents. But it is a business, and if you can convince someone that the future of BRB's is crescent-less...
