Sooooo, my sister has two enormous iguanas. They live with my parents in a spare room in a doubly enormous cage and get fed well. However my sister no longer lives with my parents, and my parents are never home... So they have been well cared for physically but a little neglected emotionally for a year or so. I kept thinking I should take them when I had the space... which I could make now, so I may become the very reluctant mother to 2 8 foot iguanas.

This could get very interesting. I just had to share though. I like my desert lizards! lol.

Oh my goodness- they sound huge! Good luck with them. I am babysitting an iguana next year for one of my students while he is in Germany for a few months.

Are you sure they are 8 feet. They don't really get that big. Maybe 6 feet or smaller. Good luck with them. They are cool lixards but are moody, we have a 1 1/2 year old 3 foot iggy and that is how he acts... MOODY. But ? still like him.

They probably aren't really that big. I hadn't measured them it was just how long my brain remembered them as being, and I haven't taken a good look at them for quite a while. I was reading through the Iggy forum and realized I was probably over estimating. Compared to my Uros they seem enormous! Then agian, compared to my uros they ARE enormous, lol.
