I went to the vet almost nine weeks ago and had x-rays and bloodwork done on my eight year old female, Bandito. The vet seemed to see eggs that were just in the developing stages. Bandito's bloodwork was good except for an elevated white blood count (did a round of Baytril and good now) and an elevated calcium level (vet said eggs). She is doing great, digging in her box, drinking water, not eating, but still pooping normal and everything. It's just shy of nine weeks now and she just hasn't made any attempt to lay or show any signs of wanting to. Her tummy is bumpy as if there are eggs present, but she has looked that way before and not been pregnant. Just fluffy as we call it as to not hurt her feelings.
Just yesterday and today in her stool was a white and yellow substance that was kind of a sandy texture. It makes me think that an egg has broken and she is pooping it out. If it's coming out, can it cause her to get sick? She is acting as normal as can be. I know reptiles act normal up til they die practically, but I just don't want to stress her out even more
if I take her to the vet too quickly.
She has laid two other successful clutches with no problems, but the last was over three years ago.
Any advice right now would be great. Thanks!
