Feeding Time was GREAT tonight, anyone seen this too???

Man I saw some great behavior on my leaf tails AND my Mexican Red Knee Tarantula.

On my leaf tais, when I put just one crix in..they pounce, excpt my male Mossy...he has to to do a careful inspection, but the female is a pig, she eats like a leopard gecko..fast and right on it.

But my henk, he's/she's a bit curious too but still a pouncer too, BUT when I put more than one cricket in there, he gets all fired up, and doesn't know which one to go for first..it's funny!! He's still hunting now.

But my Mexican Red Knee..holy [bleep]..I couldn't believe what I saw tonight. I dropped in a cricket, and she moved like lightning..she spun around 360 degrees to ge the cricket..didn't even move 1/2", she remained in place and just spun around..I WAS FLOORED..I wish I had caught in on film because I don't think I'll ever see that again..None of tarantulas have ever done that.

Id post some great pics of her here..but I think people would get upset...

Between my phants and henks, definately more entertaining watching the phants. It's really a treat when I drop a roach in their, my female's tail gets to wagging and the male will pounce a distance of about two body lengths.
I also have a metallic pink-toe (tarantula) that will usually lunge at the crix (offered w/ forceps, yeah, she's spoiled), but placing a moth in their is really interesting. She'll use her pedipalps to feel for it and then, BAM, lights out....

Man, I swear this little guy is a powerhouse!! I drop in a cricket easily 1.5-2x his size in there recently (pinched off jumping legs), and he leaps right onto it, and THEN BAM, flips over like a Greco Roman wrestler and takes out the cricket while its on top of him..I couldn't beleive it.

Id love to see a few pics of your metallic pink toe.
