I'm selling my animal to this person and I discovered that he buys and sells animals. But I want to make sure that my tortoise gets proper care as in I don't care for the money as long as it gets proper care. Now, do you guys think it's advisable to sell him my tort?

If your really concerned about how the tortoise will be treated and cared for, i certainly wouldnt sell the man the tortoise, especially if you care for it. And from what your saying, he's a jobber that just wants to buy/sell animals to turn a profit, thats rediculous unless you want the animal to go through many hands and homes and die a slow death far before its time from parasites or worse from the bad husbandry this guy might subject it to. Thats my opinion on the subject, but i care about the animals too, not the money, so go with your heart. You could sell the animal to someone you KNOW will take care of it, not try to turn a 2nd or 3rd hand profit.

Sincerely,
Charlie Daniel Ashley

What species of tortoise are you trying to sell?

Well, if you "want to make sure he gets proper care," how does selling him to a dealer accomplish this goal? Sometimes a little common sense goes a long way.

okay well, some dealers really take care of the animals and groom them so they can sell the animal for a higher price so in the process ... Okay, I know... you're right but I'm just open to the idea that some of them takes really good care of animals.
