a cage like that without trying to claw their way out? My ig can't use an outdoor cage for that reason.

When I first built my ig, Spikes sunning cage(it is 8' long by 5' wide and 6' tall) she would dig and claw and try to get out. So I looked around at what she may be trying to get to, hoping that it wasn't just her trying to get 'out'. At the time I had a yard full of plants.. grass, trees, flowers.. etc. She was also downwind of my 35 foot by 35 foot veggie garden. And could also see my slider/fish pond. So in hopes that it was just her trying to get to all those things, I went and added what I could inside her enclosure. I have a large cement mixing tub as her pond, I planted grass and edible flowers. I added more areas for her to climb on and bask on, as well as shade cloth and misters. It worked for her. But I think some igs just see 'freedom' through the cage and can't help but crave it.
