Eastern Hognose (high red)

phwyvern May 17, 2005 02:43 PM

Wild caught - found this past sunday. She's the same size as my '04 captive bred eastern so that likely makes her about a year old. I've never seen one with red before and I think she is absolutely gorgeous. Makes my cb eastern look like shoddy dull snake LOL.

I'm gonna have to take pics of my CB eastern to compare the colors with that WC. totally amazing the amount of red I see in her compared to the normal mustard yellows you see in easterns.

It is a beauty! AC at "Grade A Reptiles" has some that are even redder then that. Got a male form him last year that is getting redder with every shed. Congrats on the find.
