what do you guys use for a substrate (other than the breeders who use the sunday paper) and how well does it keep in moisture? I dont trust much substrate anymore.... I tried two substrates that BOTH brought in bugs into his cage. also, is "clown" morph a dominant trait?

I use Forest Bed that I bought in Petco. It works great to keep the humid correctly! Its easy to use and also supost to be harmless if ingested but I always feed my Ball in another tank with sunday papers anyway

keep in humidity enough? i live in calgary, (30% humidity) and i need to keep some of my screen top open to the ceramic heater placed above the outside of the tank. so i need something that will keep in humidity..... if i wet down a sponge and put it in,, would that work also?

I dont trust many substrates either, call me paranoid! That's why I use the Sunday paper. Besides It's so easy to keep clean.
I have a small fountain in my snake room, it helps keep the humidity up.
