what to feed babies?

Yesterday i caught 3 day old wandring garters. (i caught the mother in the golact.) i dont know what to feed them rosie reds, gold fish worms or what.
i did a big mistake yesterday i caught 15 garters of all sizes and i look in the bucket and three of the babies are gone could the older ones eat the babies?

I'd suggest earthworms and/or guppys for feeding babies...

And yes the adults will eat the babies. Also larger snakes will eat smaller snakes.

Wild caught snakes are more prone to parisites... so I'd suggest any you want to keep take to the vet and get examed and a fecal done. Accutally come to think of it, I'd suggest that even if you bought them.

Before I started with my snkes (I had to buy my own place and move out of my parents b4 I could.) I made sure I found a vet that did reptiles.

Dr Orr at the Bird and Exotic Pet Hospital in Murray can help with checking for parasites....

would they have parasites if i caught them comming out of the mom with all the geu.

ah... well I'm not 100% sure on snakes but the rule of thumb for other animals (ie what I was told when my cats were kittens and I asked this) is that if Mom has it... the babies have it.

So yes it's possible. Though only one fecal from the group or from mom should work as the test.
