Anybody know anything about racer eggs?

BRYAN139 May 17, 2005 07:03 PM

I bought three racers a few months ago. To make a long story short I was in the tank today after a few weeks of not being in there, just spot cleaning and I found these. Looks to me like 3 slugs and 2 might have been good eggs. Anybody know if these are any good or not? I candled them and couldn't see anything. They're very hard and dry and semi deflated. I had no idea the sex let alone one might be gravid. I need help.

You can put the viable (2)eggs in vermiculite &/or perlite moistened with water & incubate at temps recommended for racers.

The other 3 eggs look infertile. Viability can usually be determined by candling with a bright light or simply by incubating the eggs & observing that they do not have fungus or mold growing on/in them.
