A question similar to my last post: Does anyone have any experience with the Mexican ringneck subspecies? The rangemaps extend way down there. I Googled around a little and found nothing on them.
Thanks,
Billy

I have also been able to dig up little information on mexican sub-species, though I know one of those mexican sub-species is the regal ringneck snake. I am sure that the prairie ringneck snake ventures further south as well.

I'm basing the question on Conant's range map for the species - it does show those two species ranging into Mexico, but then it's got the "Mexican Subspecies" blotch too, and I think it was in that field guide that there's this odd line about future research being likely to show that ringnecks in Mexico don't range into lowlands. Don't quote me on that part; I'm away from my field guide right now.
