I would like to know how some of you set up quarentine cages?
Thank you Shawn

I use plastic Critter-keepers and seal the vents with clear shipping tape from the inside, leaving the middle "door" on top free to open for feeding and misting without the frogs hopping out. Wet paper towels are a nice easily changeable substrate, and a few plant cuttings such as pothos, curly ivy, Chinese evergreen make nice hides and survive with just misting. With most froglets, I put the shipping cups on their sides with a little water and plant leaves as well. If the frogs are shy or jumpy, you can just cover three sides with a dish towel for security.

The Critter-keepers are more expensive than the sweater or shoe boxes, but you have a better view of what's going on and don't have to remove the entire lid, chancing an escape. After the frogs are transferred, I just clean them out well with hot water, soak them in vinegar water for a few hours and sun them outdoors before storing them for the next time. I think they are worth the extra investment if you plan to use them again.

I've also tried substrates of moss and wet cocoanut fiber, just rinsing it down and basting out excess water instead of changing it, but the paper towels are better for checking on feces and seeing the prey.
