Which species has the best 'Red Tail'?

Noir May 17, 2005 09:36 PM

I am about to prchase my second Boa. I had a Columbian Imp., and had to sell it when I went to college. I want to get a more colorful snake though. I love the grey, but want a vibrant Red tail. If you guys had to choose a Surinam or a Guyana, which has the best looking tail. Any help would be so great. Also if any owners can speak on their temperment I'd love it, as my old snake was as calm as kitten.

Surinams and guyana's are the same snake. There are few that claim to be able to tell them apart but the fact is boas dont know our borders and the exporters will send the boas they catch to whatever country is exporting at that time even if they have to cross the border. If you want one with the best color tail then jsut look for a suri or guyana with the best tail. Good luck

I have got what I think is a Suriname or Guyanan but cants confirm until I post up a pic. Cant comment on the differences between a BCI and a BCC is but I will say that my Boa is a little bit testy, dosent bite but jus seems generally nervous.
